I notice there is a sticky thread on Hermes dismantling and I suppose this is a related post but I chose a new thread rather than interfere with that thread as it appears to be waiting some pictures. At my link below you will have access to:

1

A downloadable copy of the Service Manual - including dismantling / Component List (part numbers) Photos of Components / Test parameters etc and a fault troubleshooting guide

2

Internal Photos

3

Suggestions for reducing Lock-ups and Freezing

4

Practical Fixes - Loose Keyboard / Loose Stylus

and a couple of other things.

Hello, I'm a newbie here. and I look forward to getting busted by the mods and flamed by the senior guys as the only natural initiation to a new forum :)

Mike,

Good to see you here on Modaco too - and on post #2 too. Somewhat less that your 1716 posts on XDA Dev! I'll leave Paul to offer the formal welcome but thanks for the link.

Regards

Thank you Tony - hopefully I can make a humble contribution here. The site has a different feel to XDA-Dev, not a bad thing :)
