spv c550. shut off call waiting sound?

i have a c550, and i'm wondering if it is possible to shut off my call waiting ringtones, sms messages, email sounds. it's really annoying for myself and friends and family when i'm on a call and i get text messages, and my phone makes noises, not to mention blows my ear drum AWAY.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Start->Settings->Sounds and Notifications->notifications

You should be able to select which sound or vibration you want for each individual event.
