Vodafone De-brand

Changing the theme of my Vodafone v1415 (aka Vox) has almost, apart from a few items removed all the Vodafone branding, however I wondered if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction to remove the following items:

Start Menu Background - Currently a vodafone grey colour

Number Entry - When typing the number get the above grey background and a small Vodafone in the top right

Startup / Shutdown - Big red Vodafone logos

I would preferably like the Windows Mobile defaults for these items.

Any help would be much appreciated.

you can use any image you want just rename it to that of the current file used and place it the /Windows folder.

use an image viewer to find the file you want to replace its the long way to do it but it a good way if you can not use a reg editor as i know some vox user are strugling with.

as for the reg edit way, off top of my head I dont where it s i know how to find it..its called a search function ither by this forum or using find in reg editor.

do not direct the start up pivture to a file on you mem card though...you will just lock your phone in boot up

Thanks for the reply. I can edit the registry on my device without issue. I would however like the standard windows mobile pictures.

All the standard icons are on the vodafone rom to get them there are 2 ways easy or registry changing

Now if you are really lazy and want to clear all your vodafone icons and change the start menu order then try the following app IBE tweaks ,

choose the image options in the menu

Now change the following for the icons

input phone number up .... windows\ms_mobile.gif , that gets rid of the grey vodafone icon and gives you the smartphone strip :D

for warnings ect ...

error promt ...windows\yell.gif

warning promt'...windows\yell.gif

information promt ... windows\info.gif

question promt ...windows\ques.gif

earphone volume ...windows\volume.gif

To get rid of the grey smartphone start menu background change start menu option to a photo you own , then choose save , after that go back and delete the startmenu option you just did and it will make the start menu go back to the original windows mobile colours :D

choose other options/menu startmenu sequence to change the start menu to what you want :)

The call screen has to be edited with a good reg editor go to ...

HKLM\security\phone\skin\PROGRESS\portrait\other and change the bmpnormal to cprogback.png

then go back and do the same in landscape and you will have the nice jet black calling backround :P

the application IBE tweaks comes with a 3 day trial so enough time to change your vodafone icons and start up screens if you want that changed as well just the reg needed for the calling screen

You can also do the above through resco registry ( as i did ) or simular but it takes longer

dont forget when you have finished back up your phone with sprite so if you hard reset it then its quick to get it back to vodafone free mode B)

Download IBE tweaks to change the start menu background as i wrote in my above post or in the reg search for the vodafone image ( startmenubackground.bmp ) when found delete it ( not the key ) :)

I just used the e650 de brand fixes on here on my vodafone v1415 and that reset everything (apart from start up screen) to windows mobile default. That includes start menu, phone calls, info messages etc.
