Funny enough its called the Video Dialler... Its on the same site as Black and its pretty easy to install. Why you say "wm6 replica", its not a replica, it is WM6.
Guest emyllis Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I've got it here on mine and it runs like a dream. Everything fast and smooth with some useful additions and enhancements over the Shadow. I've never used 3G calling as I don't have any friends.... who have a 3G phone or use it!

So far so good here as well. Running for around 16 hours now. I dont use windows live so its nice that it is an add on.

Just flashed mine also, havent really tested it out too much but 2 things stand out for me - the clock and the ability to play the music from the today. Simple things but really well done. I had issue with 3.0.1 and the speed of the syncing to WMP 11. I'll have a go with this one and see if things have improved. Im thinking that its a USB 1.1 thing rather than an OS thing though.
Guest spindicator Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I have a friend with an M700 and wants to flash the ROM on it to something like the Black ROMs. Does anyone know if there is a build out there for it?

There sure is :) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311479 has more info about WM6 on the HTC Artemis

Guest jimbouk Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Its definitely the fastest wm6 rom yet... and seems rock solid!
Guest crazyc Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Its definitely the fastest wm6 rom yet... and seems rock solid! I have been using it less than a day, so do not feel able to give it a complete review, but it does appear to be the most stable and fastest have tried. However, I have not dabbled with Schaps, Elfs, or Vp3Gs ROMs. And only briefly with Sleuth's developer version. Am just waiting on touchflo to be fully ported over.....
Guest jimbouk Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I have tried about 20 different roms so far and have stuck with Black recently. I was worried that Majik wo0uld slow up as I added all my apps and installed the three part video dialler cab plus WLM etc etc but it seems to be runnign a lot quicker than Shadow - especially when opening comm manager etc.

(If so just look one or two forums up on the same site) Yeah sorry, I had problems finding which one it was so I went to http://wiki.xda-developers.com/ and searched for M700, didn't pay much attention but Doped also have a M700 which is the Atermis. Still yes there is WM6 for that phone, again this should put the owner of the phone in the right place: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=359
Guest JTHM Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 (edited) Been using the Black Majik ROM since Sunday. This is the first non-carrier's own ROM that I've flashed and I'm pleased I made the leap. It took a few attempts to get everything up and running properly but that was because I'd tried to make the job easy by using an Orange settings .cab someone had posted which ended up knocking out SMS. At first I thought it was the Radio ROM as I'd OK'ed some .exe file errors when flashing the Radio, but another reflash of the Radio, this time without errors, changed nothing. A couple of hard resets later and a different settings .cab had the problem licked. I've tried the Transcriber add-on a number of times but it just doesn't want to know - not too much of a problem because I can both thumb-type and Graffiti almost as fast. Has anyone else got this working on Black Majik? My only issue now is persuading TomTom to activate my genuine copy of Navigator, Maps and PLUS services. Edited July 3, 2007 by JTHM
Guest spindicator Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Been using it for a bit of time now. Really like it. Having bought my phone through Orange I haven't had any experience with the HTC audio manager. I must say that its really nice and for playing mp3's and the like its better than windows media player IMO. Everything works nicely for me. Stable, looks good and fast enough. What more can you ask for? I hear that HTC are thinking of going with another OS in the future. Really hope that they choose some kind of Linux.

Guest JTHM Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Majik for me really slowed up once I installed the Video Dialer :) I've not tried yet but does anyone know if it's easy to uninstall?
Guest jimbouk Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Mine did start to slow up (with the video dialler). As the install cabs are provisioning cabs and not application installs, you can't just remove the program. I hard reset, and then just ran the orange cab from rabdo, sync'd with exchange, manually input my pop mail accounts in, sorted out my shortcuts in the HTC home plug in and am back to a super fast device again.
