Volume down doesn't mute an incoming call

As in the title, really.

I like to be able to mute a ringing incoming call without rejecting the call, but pressing the volume down has no effect.

Has this ever worked on the E650, or is it something either the Orange france unclock tool or the E650 debrand installed has borked?

Doesn't work on the S710 either :-(

My S710 does without any problems.

I can press volume up or down. Both mute an incoming phone ring.

This was discussed in another thread somewhere. It worked on mine but not someone elses. It turned out that it depends if the keypad is locked or unlocked when the call comes in. Apparently if it was unlocked beforehand then the volume down key twice will work. If it was locked beforehand then it won't.
