Guest harrysaab Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Hi, The voice mail icon on my VOX does not disappear after i checked and deleted my voice mail message. How do I get rid of it? I restarted the phone and even changed sims but still when I put orange sim the voice mail icon comes up. It does not come up when I put t mobile sim in. Does anyone know how to get rid of this or is this some kind of bug? Did anyone else experience this? Cheers.

All you have to do is call Orange Customer Service and tell them the voicemail icon wont go away. And that's it :) Unfortuantely, as far as I am aware its not a bug you can fix yourself!

And that's it :) Unfortuantely, as far as I am aware its not a bug you can fix yourself! i had this happen the other day and it did eventually disappear... didnt call CS or nothing. maybe it has a ridiculously long timeout...
Guest James McConnon Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 I work at orange CS, When ur voicemail icon is sticking on the phone, The system shows that your Spool indicator status is unknown, All they do is send the signal to your phone so that it shud be on even if you dont have any messages then they will leave a message on your answerphone and then get you to listen to the message and delete it. It will go away then............
Guest Digi-UK Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 This problem has occured since the original SPV, best way to avoid it is to wait a few seconds after deleting your unwanted messages and watch your phone display until the voicemail icon disappears then end the call, always works for me. :)

It will go away then............ Hi there. That's fine but My wife used her sim card in my Kaiser and I have since replaced the sim with my normal vodafone one and still the icon wont go away. How do I fix it now?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 You do not need to call Orange, a quicker way is to leave yourself another coicemail message then go through the process of listening to it and then delete but then wait until the voicemail icon has cleared before ending the call. It's a known bug with the Orange network and is not device specific.
