Guest hp1 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 does anyone know of a reliable app that uses GPRS to up load my gps coords to another phone (obviously via a server or something). It should be possible? Would be great for finding friends in big cities or busy outdoor festivals etc. Just a thought.
Guest spacerace Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 (edited) Co-Pilot can upload your co-ordinates to a webpage that you can give people the link to. They can then see where you are. There is also the Modaco app - CamarAware which does a similar thing and links to a viewable webpage (example). Don't know of anything that does phone to phone though. Guest OzzMosiz Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Would certainly be useful to find my missus when she goes on a shopping spree :)
Guest _dg Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Try http://www.tomtracks.com/ and http://free.3dtracking.net/home.aspx . Both are free, small programs that will upload your settings to a web server which can be viewable by others. Some of the gps software can txt your coordinates, but then the recieving person has to input these into a web page like google earth, so its a bit fiddly
Guest coastersteve Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Have a look at www.locatea.net - free and works with the M700
