Guest ttvl4447 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 How do I set up this feature? suer manual says you dial a number, hit Menu key and choose Video call. My video call selection is inactive. Does it need to be set up for a certain number stored on the phone book?
Guest orcinus Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Nope. Are you 100% sure you're on 3G (UMTS/HSDPA)?
Guest ttvl4447 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 (edited) Nope. Are you 100% sure you're on 3G (UMTS/HSDPA)? Hi, I'm with Rogers Wireless in Canada, seems 3G is available as far as I searched on the web. However my phone does not display 3G. I guess video call is only available when 3G is available? Guest orcinus Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 (edited) Yes... If there's no 3G icon in the status bar, you get no video call capability and also appear as videocall-incapable to anyone trying to establish a video call with you. It's an UMTS/HSDPA-only thingy. You've got to have 3G reception to make video calls. Edited July 2, 2007 by orcinus

I am assuming your phone is the i600 with the VGA cam at the front. in which case it is wierd how they have set it up, but this is how it works. choose a number from your dialed numbers, like when you press the green button. Navigate to the number, press menu and choose 'Video call'. I know its wierd but thats how you make a video call. Or type the number out, press menu and choose Video call. thats it.
