Guest bmw.williamsf1team Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 Hi guys, I've had my i600 for about a month now and for some reason when I choose to lock the device or let the screen turn off (completely, not just the backlight), the WiFi appears to drop out, as when I turn the screen back on the searching for network icon reappears (even though the device was connected before it switched off). The WiFi switches off exactly 1 minute after the devices' screen turns off. I was just wondering if there was some way or option I could choose to keep the WiFi on regardless of the state of the screen? I want to leave WiFi on so that I can use it as an 'always-on' Salling Clicker remote (amongst other things). Any help would be fantastic! Much appreciated, Jake.
Guest ctsd Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Have you tried going to your settings/connections/wifi - select your wifi network and then select menu/wifi settings Third option you should see 'Turn off wi-fi if not connected in' and select 'never' You should then find the wifi is constantly connected. I have only had mine activated for the first time today so i do not know what would happen if you leave you network area and then reenter it again when it is in this mode. Personally i have mine set to acitve for five minutes. Once i wake up my phone it activates again so not too sure why your's is not activating again after waking your phone up. Let me know if this helps! :)
