Answerphone settings not saving

On a C600 the answerphone cuts in to soon. It is set to 10 seconds s I try to change it to 30 seconds but get the Error "Unable to save settings. Verify your network coverage and that the setting is supported"

It is a Modaco C600 with an Orange PAYG SIM.

Any ideas?

She came home yesterday and said it had changed to 20 seconds, went to show me and it had changed to 30 seconds....

Strange, but true.
