To change or not to change

I am not sure if this is the most appropriate place for this post but hopefully someone here will be able to help me out......

I am about 6 months into a Contract with Orange and have an M3100 handset. I love the functionality of the device, can cope with some of the quirks and all in all have been very happy. The only problem with it is the form factor and I am now seriously considering swapping it for something more suited to one handed use. Basically I had to use a colleagues new blackberry and fell in love with the form factor and am now looking for the most cost effective way to replace my 3100. Has anyone out there got any handsets they can recommend? Requirements for me are that is must be SIM Free, have 3G (as I am on unlimited data), be compatible with my TomTom 6.

Quite taken with the Treo - but not the £400 price tag - any thoughts anyone?
