Guest Hitman_botelle Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 Hi All Does anyone know if it is possible to do file sharing and folder browsing from a PC to and from my E650 through WiFi? I have managed to configure my e650 to logon to the network at both my home and work. But it would be nice not to have to setup Active sync at work! Any help would be appreciated. Ta Alan

Rgds Ian Hi ian I browsed for available networks, Then just went through the connection wizard (Both setup as Internet) One network is Authentication - WPA-PSK Data encryption TKIP with password The other (would you believe work) Authentication - OPEN with password Alan

Guest SypherNL Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 I tried all the PPC compatible network programs, but none of them seem to be working :) Maybe you can use ORB, www.orb.com. Its mediastreaming but also provides you access to documents. It works quite nicely, but not what i really wanted...
Guest Barabbas Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Been looking for something like this myself. Have also only run upon PPC software (LogMeIn, Resco File Explorer and GSFinder+). The Resco File Explorer made me jump from excitement, but soon noticed the smartphone version got less handy gadgets like lacking networkbrowsing. :) Get the feeling there is some restrictions in smartphones towards filesharing over Wfi. Cant even sync over wifi either, as far as I know.
Guest highlorddave Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Alot of us were looking fwd to resco 2007 hoping they could implement network browsing as is possible with the PDA version, but sadly it looks like network browsing will never happen on WM6 in its current state. below is a quote from one of the resco developers We are about to release the Explorer 2007 for smartphone very soon (today or on monday) and we will appreciate all tests, bug reports and feature improvement. I will place an announcement as soon as the beta will be availlable for download. The bad news is that in WM6 it is impossible to map network drives.
