Decert before upgrading ROM to Black?

My replacement M3100 is arriving tonight and I'd like to go straight to the Black Majik ROM.

Do I need to decert the phone before doing this?

In the days of the SPV500 before you could add unsigned apps and make reg changes you had to decert the phone.

Apparently not the case with the M3100 because mine is now running Black Majik ;-)
