Random Power Off

Hello,

My HTC Vox randomly powers off, it has been doing it since i got it, sometimes many times a day. This happens at very random moments, mid-call, idle in my pocket, playing games (OMFG nethack for smartphone), or sending messages. I talked to a guy at HTC and he said he had never heard of this before. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Anyone have a fix for it?

I recieved my S710 last Saturday and found it did the same thing!

Mine appeared to power off when sliding the keyboard in and out quickly, it even did it whilst the phone was booting so I am assuming its not a software fault more in the way of hardware?

I sent mine back to Handtec saying I wasnt happy with it so I get the new one delivered today, i was hoping i just had a duff one so I really hope this new one doesn't turns out the same.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had a problem with the phone function not working randomly but it didnt power off. I put a tiny piece of paper above the sim-card

and it solved the problem.. you could try if it helps..

My E650 used to do this, I even posted in here about it - it used to shut down when sliding the keyboard.

Turns out it was the switch on the sim-card socket. I made sure the cover/lid was pushed home properly, and I've not had a problem since.

Seems to mostly happen when I show my phone to someone else. Maybe I have just gotten the trick of opening and closing it without it bricking.. Still not sure what the problem or solution are...
