Hi,

3 days after getting a new G900, i find that I only have 9mb os storage free. That means ive used 29 megs somehow...

I couldnt work out how I had used that much, so I wrote a simple tool in c# to tell me.

I thought someone else might find it useful.

Notes

1. It excludes files in ROM (they dont use any space that can be used for other things [easily])

2. It DOESNT exclude files on storage cards - pop the card out to exclude it!

3. Just enter the starting dir (eg \ to scan whole device) to scan, and click go

4. Its written in VS2005, targeting compact framework using WM5 SDK. Ive only tested it in the WM5 emulator and my G900. YMMV. Ive also only tested it on VGA+ devices, but its dead simple so should be OK on 240x320

5. It takes a while to scan the whole device (not THAT long tho!)

6. It takes 1024bytes to be a K and 1024K to be a meg.

7. I didnt do an installer - its just an exe and a dll - copy them to your device (after virus scanning of course!) and run the .exe

Consider it freeware...

hope its useful to someone

ps. I found out that my space on the G900 is gone to the T9 system (3megs), TomTom (4megs, even tho installed onto SD card), 6 megs of junk (NOT in rom) hidden in windows, (TIPTalk, TEGic), 1meg in temp, etc...
