Guest Nox_UK Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Took my vario ii into a tmobile store a little while ago, one of the buttons on the keyboard has stopped working, needs a lot of pressure to work. Was told i'd voided the warranty by putting wm6 on it so left :) just a heads up and a sort of question - is it worth taking it to pieces to see if there is any dirt/etc in there stopping it? or just live with it. Nox Its worth finding and reflashing your WM5 ROM back, then simply go back to the store or phone up CS and ask for a replacement under warranty :P Either you'll get a straight swap in a shop organised by CS or you'll be asked to send it off for warranty repair. Tho personally, I haven't had any trouble returning device with a different ROM, and anyway, even if you did put WM6 on it, how would that affect the state and mechanical function of your buttons? :) Phil
Guest Nox_UK Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 yeah - think i'm going to call cs anyway, the shop said 2-3 weeks wait on warranty repairs... seems a bit long for replacing a keyboard at worse. Nox
Guest Dr Who Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 I took my non-WM6 device into TMob and it was replaced under warranty in about 4 days.
