Guest Alex Alex Alex Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 (edited) Is ther a DIY method of removing the orange SIM lock from the SPV E650 yet? I notice I can pay for it to be done at http://www.imei-check.co.uk/e650unlock.php but was hoping to do it for free natch. and if paying is the only way to go has anyone used imei-check to unlock their pda? are the instructions easy enough to follow? Regards, Alex Don't know of a DIY method, I used imei-check to unlock mine. You get full instructions when you order the unlock file, ran with no problems so fully recommended.

Guest lapis molaris Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 I used imei-check too, and recommend them. Beyond the unlock-code they give good support if anything goes wrong. In my case, I got the BSOD. The folks at imei-check replied within the hour with a link to the windows-update that fixed it. :)
Guest rav1patel Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Took three or four attempts but worked a treat. Nice and quick process.
Guest mjt2810 Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 (edited) I've just bought an e650 to run as my personal phone (I have an S710 for work) and just went to the imei-check website. However, their security certificate flagged a problem on my browser, none the less, I continued to the page, entered my imei and it didn't do anything. Anyone else experienced a problem? M. OK, THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR SITE, EMAIL FROM THEM. NOW FIXED, AWAITING MY UNLOCK CODE. Edited July 25, 2007 by mjt2810
