Guest noct Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I found that some other ppc got a button assigned for Ring/Vibrate/Mute, which is tremendously helpful. For my m3100 i have to tap the little volume icon each time and switch it in the pull-down menu. Is there anyway to map a button for such function? I look for that in SPB and it seems that the only option available - [volume loop] changes only from ring to mute. NO VIBRATE. so it's pretty much useless... any idea?

Try this....... it maps the "Comm Manager" button (on the right hand side of the device, near the bottom :)) so that it toggles vibrate on and off. Mark.CommButton_Toggle_Vibrate_Fix.CAB

Mark. thanks mark, but i use the comm manager button quite a lot to switch ON/OFF WiFi and Bluetooth. any cabs that map other buttons such as the Video Calling at the front panel, or the Voice Dialing button at the left side?
Guest M@rkC Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 thanks mark, but i use the comm manager button quite a lot to switch ON/OFF WiFi and Bluetooth. I'm pretty sure the CAB file doesn't remove the Comm Manager's default functionality - it just adds the sound on/sound off/vibrate function when you "press and hold" the button. I've never used it myself, but that's what I've read - at the end of the day, if you install the CAB on your phone and it doesn't do what you wanted/expected, then just go into Settings | System | Remove Programs and uninstall it :) HTH, Mark.
