In THIS MoDaCo thread, I was asked whether there are any networking apps for the MS Smartphone platform. I’ve quickly tested vxUtil (homepage HERE), the BEST all-in-one networking troubleshooter / helper app for Pocket PC and WindowsCE, only to find out it doesn’t have a native Smartphone version.

Fortunately, this can easily be fixed by just extracting 00vxUtil.020 from the vxUtil.ppc3_arm.CAB file, renaming it to vxUtil.exe and transferring it to \Windows\Start Menu (or any subfolder of it) on your Smartphone. Screenshots:

Greeting from Spain:

I have followed your instructions and I have been able to load the application in my Samsung SGH-i600 (updated to WM6), with which I am having a lot of troubles with my WIFI access point, which works pretty well with my Symbian phones. The application starts to works, but stops working after a while, freezing. By the way, any advise to load vxIPConfig into the same smartphone?.

Thanks.
