Guest sockpuppet Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 I just got my S710 and tried to install TomTom 6 on it but the install fails. The phone is an HTC sim free so shouldn't be locked in any way? I have a 2Gb MicroSD card and have tried installing from this and also from the phone with the MicroSD card removed. With the SD card present I am prompted where to install device/storage card if I choose either it says installing ttn6.cab and then returns to the home screen, without the SD card it goes straight to the home screen? I am using file installer and selecting the ttn6.cab, it then says installing ttn6.cab, gets as far as one bar and goes back to the home screen. I have succesfully installed other .CAB's and I'm sure that the ttn6.CAB is not corrupt as I can use winrar to look at and even ex ract the contents. HELP
Guest conan_troutman Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 tomtom 6 is not for smrtphones....(Windows mobile smartphones that is)....yes people have it working but they hacked the damn thing to make it so....stick with a version meant for the device or pertition tomtom to make version 6 compatible with WM smartphones
