Outlook 2003 Notes and WM6 Pro Sync

I just tried and returned the Toshiba G900 for several reasons. One of the issues was that the G900 would not sync with my Outlook 2003 Notes. Is anyone successfully syncing between Outlook 2003 Notes and WM6 Pro on ANY hardware?

Most WM6 versions come installed with outlook 2007 which from what I've read does not sync with 2003. I don't sync with outlook so I don't know that first hand, but I've read that more than once.
