Hi,

I have been trying to help a colleague to resolve a problem he has where he can't carry out a full postcode search.

He is running TT6 and the latest 6.75 map of the UK running on an I-mate JAM smartphone using Windows Mobile 2003.

I have tried the well known fix of copying the ZIP file into the phones My Documents folder but he is still only able to perform the basic postcode search option. Everything else works fine.

This problem seems to be phone related as the same software works fine on my PDA when I tried it as a test.

I would welcome any thoughts as to what the problem is and any action to allow full postcode seasrching

Thanks in anticipation

I'd be interested to hear suggestions, too - I've got a similar problem on my SPV M700.

The best way to get it working again is to use TomTom Home.

This will allow you to download components associated with your purchased Maps, and sync/copy them to the device. For the ZIP filder, you should copy the original off the PPC to the PC, then delete the PPC version. Now open TT Home, and you should be able to find the PostCode data file in the PC list, from where you can resync it to the PPC's storage card.

Thanks - I will get my mate to try it and advise the outcome. Seems too simple to be true but who knows?
