Help - HTC VOX S710 Cracked Screen

:) :P I have just pressed the right hand side menu key on my 11 day old vox, and the screen has cracked !!!

Has anyone encountered this?

The keyboard slider was always very loose, but never thought anything of it, but as I have just pressed the menu key, it felt like it 'clicked' into place and then the screen cracked.

I am gobsmacked! - I have not dropped it or handled it roughly, there is not one scratch on it. Looks like new. What the hell !!

Do you think Handtec where I got it from will accept that this was a fault, or am I going to have a battle?

I feel ur pain, sorry man, but u got to try and get a replacement because that doesnt sound normal.

Well spoke to HTC this morning.

They suggested that I call Handtec (where I bought it), and ask them to replace it.

Called Handtec, and althought they thought it unusual, they have given an RMA for it.

Here's hoping the replacement comes soon, I am back on Nokia E50 for work and dont like it!!

I would be keen to hear if anyone else gets this problem, perhaps its just my usual bad luck.

Well, pleased to report that Hantec replaced the phone without any issues at all.

Fantastic service, I thought I woud have a battle on my hands.

Highly recomended.
