Guest jamesb1973 Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Hi i've been using smartphones for a few years now and upto WM5/6 was pretty put off after the SPV-E100, however, i've now got an HTC-VOX and am quite impressed with the improvements. What I want to do though is create a custom homescreen which instead of having the MRU on it, has icons for things like messaging, call history etc - my choices hard-coded to the homescreen for my personal use. Can anyone point me in the right direction of doing this. I've looked for SDK stuff on MSDN but it all points to downloading a 400+mb file that requires you have Visual Studio 5 (which I don't) - I just want to get at the documentation. Thanks James

Thanks Dadditude, i'll look at that definitely cos it'll save time. There's just something really wholesome about editing XML manually tho!!!! :) I found reference to a shortcut plugin somewhere else but the examples aren't that great in terms of specifying the icon to use.
