Random media player problem

OK, so I'm using the HTC 'Audio Manager' at the moment anyway, but does anyone know why this strange problem occurs with media player;

basically it won't see my Storage Card. Everything else does, and if I pop it out, and back in whilst MP is running, it sees it, and adds all the tracks from it. Told you it was random!

HTC's audio manager sees it all the time, and never has a problem, so I'm just using that for now so it's no big deal.

Just wondered if anyone has seen this issue before?

I haven't done a hard reset / formatted the card or anything like that yet.

Try deleting a file on Storage Card called MSMETADATA and then have WMP do another 'Update Library'.

That should sort you out. It's a known problem apparently :)

You mean a folder called that? Yeah tried that. Still doesn't show up as me having a card in WMP. Oddness!

Oddness indeed.

Mine played up for ages in the same way until I stumbled across that little fix & it worked a treat.

Sorry I can't help further. Do post back if you find a solution.
