Manual removal of software?

Hi,

I installed the trial version of Paragon HandyWeather on my HTC S710. It was really slow and buggy so I tried to uninstall it. When the confirm screen came up I pressed yes, and then the wheel appeared and just kept spinning. After a while I restarted the phone but it still appears in the start menu and in remove programs. Every time I try the same thing happens. I posted a support request on Paragon's website describing the problem. After two days they responded with "go to start->settings->remove programs". Can I just manually remove the program folder and registry settings?
