Guest Harvey Wallbanger Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Hi folks Had my phone (MDA Vario II) for about two months now. On the whole it's a good replacement for previous Sony Ericcson P900, but there's a few things I'm puzzled over:- 1) Is there a way to insert smilies into SMS messages? (SE900 had these stored, but having to "build" them with this phone, ie colon + hyphen + bracket to make :) ) 2) I'm probably being really thick but I can't find a £ symbol on the physical or virtual keyboards 3) Is there a way to edit the word suggestions that are stored for SMS? Didn't realise how this worked to begin with, and now have some mis-spellings stored, and also some duplicates.... Oh, and is there software can download which will let me compose SMS on the PC and then send via the phone and/or also manage SMS messages/folders Soz if these topics are covered elsewhere......
Guest jimbouk Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 1) SMS smilies are via keystorkes only - unless you send as an MMS 2) Hit the blue dot and then TAB key to bring up symbols on screen to find the £ 3) I think I;ve seen dictionary editors around. Do a search. 4) Jeyo software allows you to use outlook to sync and compose texts

Not sure what you mean! (BTW, now found that choosing "au" brings up stuff including £ sign 3) I've found a few dictionary editors around, but not sure where the dictionary is! 4) Thanks for the tip - will try to find it!
Guest greenturtle Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Its blue on the Orange varient but jimbouk means the red dot on the bottom left as illustrated nicely in this diagram I prepared earlier :)
