program to set today wallpaper OTHER THAN 'pictures and videos'

did anyone use the HTC program simply called 'album'? it came on my XDAii mini in place of the current app 'pictures and videos'...

anyway, long story short, 'album' when told to 'set as wallpaper' would put what was currently displayed onscreen in the app as the today background. so in other words, if you had an image that you wanted to use only part of as the today bg you could zoom in, position it etc, then voila it was on your today screen... :P

with WM5's 'pictures and videos', no matter what part of the image is in view, when told to 'set as today wallpaper' it makes you choose part of the whole image, based on whichever dimension fits best... not always the best solution IMHO... :)

any help and/or suggestions appreciated!
