Guest djsky Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Anyone know how you can lock the keys on a M3100? Basically, I always turn off the screen, but it has a habit of powering up when messages are recieved, and even when it loses a signal. all I want is to lock the keys so that when it does power up, for whatever reason, keys can't be accidentally pressed... another use wouldbe when playing music in media player, you can't turn the device off and carry on playing tunes, so whilst on the tube, with the thing in your pocket, it's useless, as buttons easily get pressed.
Guest Pete1983 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 in the today item menu there is something called device lock. does exactly what you want.

Yeah, I guess that is exactly what I want... but can't get that option up unless I turn the "Orange" Screen off... Orange seem to HOG the today screen and don't allow anything else on with their Orange screen. Any other suggestions?
Guest Pete1983 Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Sorry no more suggestions. I turned the Orange thing off as it sux imo. What are you using in the Orange thing that makes you want to keep it? There may be ways around so that you can turn it off and keep the functionality.

Download Matt Armstrongs DeviceLock from XDA develoeprs, and map it to a hardware button.
