Guest mediter Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Does anyone know if miniSD wifi cards are compatable with the 2125? It seems like Spectec is the only manufacturer of the miniSD variety. Are there any other brands out there aside from Spectec? I would like to ideally have a miniSD wifi card that ALSO includes some storage, but I know that's probably a pipe dream. Thanks....
Guest greenturtle Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Hey welcome to forum :) No one actually knows if the mini-sd slot on the 2125 (HTC Tornado) is SDIO compatible as know one who owned the card ever butchered there phones. The wifi cards are infact longer than the actual slot but this was bypassed by nedge2k as seen in this news report with the C500 which was proved not to be SDIO compatible. http://www.msmobilenews.com/windows-mobile...-fi-card-7.html I'd happily butcher my C600 to test a wifi card if someone lent me one (: but the answer really is no-one knows whether or not it will work (haha what a useful post im making!) Anyways question 2, there is no mini-sd storage solution, only SD which was discontinued anyway. Also I dont know about other brands, have a search on google and ebay.

Thanks for the welcome ;) That link you posted is great. I thought to myself - wow, that miniSD wifi card doesn't look like it will fit... now I know it's true! Also that person mentions that spectec's drivers aren't compatible with smartphones yet, so that pretty much answers it. You'd think there'd be a huge market for miniSD wifi cards... Yet there's hardly any products out there for it! I wonder how that guy "modded" his CP to fit the extra big miniSD card? A dremel tool? :) Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help. No problem :)
