Guest Koing Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Hi guys. I'm a new member here. I was doing some research on how to get my I-Mate Jame/ MDA Compact (actually one) to work again. I've had the phone for about 20months now. A few days ago I noticed it isn't picking up any reception. When I click on the signal bar I have "No Service". Flight mode is turned off. When I get in to Settings > Network and try to "Find Network" I get this: Network error Unable to register on selected network. Choose another network, or disconnect your data connection and try again. I have tried to setup Preferred networks but the box doesn't populate. It just stays blank. I am doing in an area where I have gotten reception for the past 20months. I've tried to change the Network selection to "Manual" and the Choose Network box doesn't populate with any networks :). When I first noticed this problem I unchecked all the network preferences hoping for it to populate itself but apprently I get them back now :P I've done a soft reset = nothing and a hard reset but I still can't get the phone to pick any network up so I have no signal ;). I've tried the SIM card in another phone and it works fine. Any other ideas or has this phone just bitten it? I haven't gone in to the local Tmobile store yet and they probably can't do anything for it. Any suggestions would be great guys. Thanks. Koing
