How Loose is your Keyboard?

I'm starting down the path of researching my next purchase - trying to choose between the s630 and the s710. I'm leaning toward the 710 - but my one concern is the keyboard. I've heard reports that it's pretty loose when closed - i.e. - it wobbles a little, there is sometimes a noticable space between the keyboard and screen etc. And that it only locks when the keyboard is fully extended.

I'm also curious if the slider mechanism itself has loosened up on anyone at all. I know its only been out a few weeks - but I've seen other slider phones (8125, v6700 etc) where the slider got pretty loose - which I would find pretty annoying.

Any comments, gripes etc about the slider?

I'm not exactly a power-user so my keyboard hasn't seen a lot of action but I can confirm a slight wobble when it is closed. This is a little annoying but doesn't really affect phone useage.

There's no space between keyboard & screen and I can also confirm that it only locks when fully extended. Then again, why would you want it to lock when only half-extended ? The 'spring' action makes it a nicer 'feel' when bringing it out.

Ive used this phone for about a month, the keyboard works very well, and i am easily annoyed by loose parts on this kind of function, and it aint got me annoyed yet. =)

Mine's a little loose for my taste. Not sure if it can be tightened up but I would like it to fit snug enough that I could use the number pad without having it move around on me underneath.

A bit loose indeed, but i think it will last pretty long. I don't want to drop the phone tho...

Well it was early and I was rushing to get to work but I managed to insert my micro-SD in the gap rather than the intended slot !

I guess this more a problem with the awkward location of the expansion slot and the annoying rubber flap.....but mostly with my cack-handedness :)
