Losing connection when Touch goes to standby

hi i've just upgraded from vario and love my new phone!

i have one problem though...everytime it goes to standby i lose my connection both to GPRS and WiFi(haven't played with BT yet) i seam to remember somewere you can change it. but can't find it or it might be different in wm 6?

GPRS ought to stay connected, but WiFi always disconnects when the device goes into standby, because of the large power drain of WiFi.
