typhoon jtag points

hey, im new here so i dont think youll help me but anyway..

i damaged the boot loader on my typhoon the other day by mistake, so i made a standard jtag cable and downloaded the jtag tools and the flash programer, now i just want to know if the standard cable will work and what points on the board should i use ? and if there anything i missed.

Welcome to the forum, very techie stuff. How did you damage your bootloader. I'd never heard of jtag before so can't help and not sure anyone here will be able to. the other place you could try is xda-developers.com where all the ROM hackers hang out.

Hey, wow you made a jtag cable and have it nearly running! impressive stuff.

I don't think anyone actually knows where the jtag points are on the typhoon board and looking at the xda-developers typhoon forum no one knew there either. The only people that knew anything about JTAG points were Florin and Fluffcat1 but Florin is still in China I believe as thats what one of his friends tells me and Fluffcat1 seems to have disappeared from the forum which is a shame.

I think you may have to just buy a new C500 I'm afraid or just experiment :) hehe.

i tried to download the sp5m rom, the upgrade utility crashed at 68% so i pulled the usb,i didnt know it will turn my phone to a brick, anyways thanx for everything guys, i guess ill buy a new one, by the way does anyone know if i can download wm6 for the sp5m ?

Eek bad idea.

There is an unnofficial release of wm6 for the Tornado that "The Doctor" from modaco made, its on xda-developers.

Yeess better not brick the Tornado either :) there not so cheap to replace!
