Guest wassim Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 Hi, I own an HTC P3600 Trinity (but I'm guessing this issue is not specific to the model). My touchscreen suddenly decided it doesn't want to work anymore. The buttons on the device still work, I can see that it responds, but unfortunately I can't get past the password screen as there's no way to enter the passkey using only the buttons! I have had this problem before and found that if I removed the LCD protector that would fix it... unfortunately that didn't work this time. How do I get out of this jam without losing everything I've saved in there?? Failing that - does anybody know how I can change / remove the password using the PC (with ActiveSync, for example)? That way I'd at least be able to navigate through the buttons... Please help me out, I need to save a lot of information that isn't quite syncing... Any response appreciated! Thanks, WASSIM
Guest Neil5459 Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 You may be able to do this with MyMobiler or Pocket Controller, both of which allow you to have an image of your PPC on your PC screen, and operate it/navigate using the mouse. The problem is that if not already installed, you won't be able to get past the password screen to install the PPC client for either app. If it weren't for the Password screen, you could probably guess when the 'Install' window came up, and press the Action key to accept it blind, but I suspect the Password lock would prevent that. Not much help I'm afraid :)

I just can't enter my password! It's driving me mad... Any other answers would be appreciated... WASSIM
