is it possible to just remove the entry for "Outlook email" from showing up in the drop down list in the messaging screen?

I have

GMail

Outlook E-mail

Text/Multimedia

Tigermail

but I would like Outlook to not even show up on that list? Is there anywhere in the registry it can be removed? I don't need to uninstall it or anything, just make it not appear in that menu.

Thank you!!

yes there is... you need to remove it from active sync... go into the active sync on your device and uncheck email... and also do so on your computers active sync

Hi. :P

There is a trick on the Smartphone (WM Standard, non-touchscreen) which removes the 'Outlook E-mail' entry: rename ActiveSync key to ActiveSyncX (or any name).

The registry address is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\ActiveSync

Result on SP

Default SP entry (C500)

I've tried the trick on the emulator. Now, the 'Outlook E-mail' entry is gone BUT the problem is, it was replaced with 'ActiveSync' entry. :)

I don't know if it will behave the same way on physical device so kindly try it. Sorry I don't have one so what I'm sharing is limited to actual emulator behaviors and old SP (2002, 2003SE) stuff.

It didn't work.... like you said. All it did was show renamed as whatever you rename the file to.
