Guest greenie Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 I've been looking for a new phone for some time now (I currently have an aging Sony Ericsson K700i) and a decent smartphone seemed the obvious choice for somebody who doesn't change their phone very often. I've had a play around with the i600 and I really came to like it. Upon checking the Vodafone website I noticed that the i600 wasn't available but a newer version, the i620, was coming soon (more specifically September 2nd according to Customer Support). I've read that the i600's processor was some what slower than that in the i320 so my question to you all here is; does anybody know the specifications of the processor that is being put in the i620? Many thanks.
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 According to PDAdb.net it's a 400MHz Samsung http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=809 I don't know if the i320 was faster, but I wouldn't say the i600 is in any way slow
Guest greenie Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 Thanks for the info. From looking at those specs and comparing them to those of the i320, it looks like Samsung have put the i320's processor into the i620.
Guest marksurry Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 I have been using the Samsung i620 for just over a week now and find it very good. The processor is an 'ARM926EJ OMAP1710' if that helps at all, not sure what clock speed it's running. I've written my first thoughts on it over on my blog: http://surryskingdom.co.uk/?p=371 Also posted some photos of it: http://surryskingdom.co.uk/?p=379
