How to delete Windows Live e-mail account?

I don't have and don't intend to have a Windows Live e-mail account, and it's taking up space on the messages screen. How can I delete it from the list? The option is greyed out as obviously no one would ever want to delete anything Microsoft made :-)

Also - is there a way to rename an account once created? It appears that while settings for an account can be changed, the name cannot. Thanks - Steve

You can remove account by hard formatting your device if its not working you can sell you phone a WAY!

Not personally tried this, so try this at your own risk, but there's a registry key:-

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc

You could delete the "Windows Live" key from here

Perhaps reboot phone afterwards

If you don't have registry editing software for your phone try Mobile Registry Editor which is software that allows you to edit your Mobile registry from your PC. It connects to your device via ActiveSync: Download from here : http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/20...try_Editor.aspx

You all are taking the hard way to do simple things!!

Simply, go to Windows Live app on your device, then Account options and hit Switch Account option.

This will delete Windows Live mail account from Outlook.

At least on my device it is working.
