Create a new profile

I've been trying to create a new Discreet profile for my vox.

So far I've worked out that the .def.prof.xml files in the \windows directory are the original profiles and the .prof.xml files in \Profiles are the alterations against the original files.

I have also found in the registry \HKCU\ControlPanel\Profiles that each profile has its own key.

I have duplicated all of these accordingly with the required changes and I assumed that by doing all of this I will get a new profile. Unfortunately this doesn't work. It does appear in the list but it will not allow me to select or edit it.

Interestingly if I only have the .prof.xml file and not the .def.prof.xml equivalent, it will allow me to edit my new profile but the edit screen is blank with no options to change.

I am only assuming that my phone is application unlocked as I have been able to install TCPMP and Pocket Player 3.2 which it told me are both unsigned. I have not run any application to unlock it though. The phone is the HTC S710, not any of the vodafone or Orange equivalents.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can do this? What have I missed? Is it even possible?
