hello everyone.

i have the orange E650, clone of the htc vox.

when connecting via wifi i have a problem when using a fixed IP on my smartphone : i'm connected to the signal but i cant surf internet unless i type the ip adresses of the web sites

example for google : if i type google.fr = i cant connect

if i type 72.14.221.104 = i 'm on google and i can search.

but if i click on some search results : error.

when i use dhcp on my smartphone it seems that the router provides the IP AND the DNS data because i can surf internet with no problem.

so i suppose it is a DNS problem BUT i cant find where to specify the DNS into the smartphone. can someone help ?? please

I hope you can understand my english ...

In Start>Settings>Connections(5)>GRPS there are DNS settings. In the US (AT&T) there is no need to set DNS in here.

You also might need to set PROXY settings (6) depending on your provider.

Erm... The GPRS settings have no effect on WiFi. For WiFi there are WiFi settings. :)
