Guest BLAKSMYTH Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I was thinking about getting gps software for my blackjack. Anybody use it before? When you have poor reception does the gps cut out? Should i just by a gps stand alone unit?
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I used to use Route66 with a Bluetooth GPS, which worked well but I use it so rarely now that I haven't reinstalled it since resetting the device. If the GPS loses signal it tries to manage for a short while (if you're in a tunnel for instance) but will eventually say "Where's the satellites gone?" and stop. I was thinking of a TomTom box, but I like the re-routing facillity which requires a data connection, so for my money it's "better"/simpler to have it on a data-capable device such as a phone
