Guest SteviePW Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 Hi all My 3 year old SPV C500 has recently started playing up. The signal strength drops to zero most of the time, and I often get 'No Service'. The signal returns every now and then and I can still, occasionally, get connected. The only thing I've done recently is replace the casing, the old one was damaged and filled with dust. I followed the instructions on this forum and it was easy enough. I've tried a reset (again, as posted on here), but nothing seems to work. The orange shop said it was most likey that the internal antenna was on the blink. Anyone else had this problem, is there a solution or is it unrepairable? Cheers Steve

Sounds not too good; I wonder if you have not damaged the antenna or radio somehow when you dismantled the phone. Maybe time to get yourself a newer model, such as the HTC s710 (or the C600, if money matters).
