Hi All,

Can anyone help me out...my Orange E650 seems to have gone on a "go slow" at the moment i.e it's taking ages to open contacts etc and generally navigate around the phone.

Have rebooted it several times but no real change( battery out etc)

Can anyone advise me of any thing I can do to speed it up etc?

Appreciate any advice

Wondering if you installed any software that might be causing it or out of space. Might run a task manager program and see what all is running. Otherwise if nothing was changed I'd recommend a hard reset and start over, painful as that is.

mine runs slow as a snail with a broken foot if activesync is on the go and is noticeably slower after an AS session until i kill all processes running.

i have been more aware than i would prefer about the performance of the Vox when a few apps are running - i haven't done any proper tests but its definitely slower the more there is running simultaneously.

A bit more of the easy advice :

Have you installed software to the phone instead of the micro-SD ?

Do you clear out your old messages ?

Have you loaded the phone memory up with ringtones & homescreens ?

Check the System Info option in Task Manager to see how healthy your storage memory is. Running software needs a bit of space.

doesn't WM6 fully segregate the memory areas?

my old Magician would dynamically allocate memory to either Storage or Programs depending on usage but my E650 is always offering about 39meg of memory for apps and things (all pics/sounds go onto the microSD card) but 'working' memory goes up and down like a you-know-whats drawers!
