Guest reydan Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 Hi, I have a HP ipaq 2210 and i want to buy a PCMCIA wireless lan card (a Gigabyte GN-WMKG more specific). Does the lan card have to be PDA compatible or something? ... or any PCMCIA card will work? I found this site http://www.foxpop.co.uk/ppc/h2210_03.htm ...so pcmcia wireless cards do work on my 2210... but i'm not sure about my gigabyte and this is why i'm asking Thanks

I found this site http://www.foxpop.co.uk/ppc/h2210_03.htm ...so pcmcia wireless cards do work on my 2210... but i'm not sure about my gigabyte and this is why i'm asking Thanks Forget it. The GigaByte you're talking about is for REAL computers. The connector (pcmcia) is NOT compatible with the connectors on your h2210. You'll need to look for a CF II (CompactFlash Type II) card, like the one in the foxpop.co.uk-link. Alternative, you can go for a SDIO WiFi card, which is IMHO the best. This leaves you're CF-slot free to put a memorycard. (i used to have a 2 GB with TT3 Europe, GPS on BT) For more info on your new 'toy' : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...ectID=c00029964 Cheers, Dirk
