I use Orb on my Core2Duo 2.4 Ghz with 4GB rams and Vista. This is my Orb-Server so to speak.

I usually stream inside my LAN, which is faster ofcourse.

The things you have to check are:

- Are you inside or outside your LAN?

- If outside: Well it depends how fast your upload connection is

- If Inside: Should work better then outsoude

- What type of method do you use to play? There are multiple to choose from. If i can recall, i am using the topmost option.

- How much memory is there available when you use it? What programs are running.

It is working not that bad, the first few seconds between a track-shift (while playing music) is quite silent. Playing movies isn't really working like i hoped. Are you playing movies or music?

Keep in mind, the Vox is 200mhz by default. Clocking it to 250 might fix it, but i am not clocking any of my devices.

the thing is, that it works perfectly with my dell axim x50v outside the lan...on the wan.

and with all program on my vox closed it's still lagging...

i'm streaming my tv channels from my mediacenter with orb.

maybe i should try to clock it to 250, just to see the diffent..if any.

thx for your reply :)
