Active Sync will mess around a bit asking about partnerships - ignore it. As soon as the async symbol goes green start trying to copy the files. - Having a bit of trouble with the setting. I used the old prov files anyway and they did not bring any of the old data connection settings. What we need is: Internet CSD Orange CSD MMS Setup (all stuff there) tell me where to look and I'll find it and post.. DJhope....It would be VERY helpful if you could do a start to finish step by step guide to doing the update...starting with backing up ISPM to an *mb card, downloading the update etc. go on...you know you want to...;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's been fun having it like this, but I'm seriously concerned about the system detecting our versions and not allowing us to upgrade. Guest jtsaint Posted January 27, 2003 Report Share Posted January 27, 2003 Cheeers Mate but I worked it out just played around a bit: Internet Connection = Automatic Dial Up - Internet CSD = WAP Network , 44, 796, 100500, orange Dial UP - Orange CSD Wap = Same as above GPRS Internet GPRS = The Internet, orangeinternet - rest all empty and zeros Orange GPRS = Same as above. I used the orignal English pre update PROV files when I de certed and they didnt help with the settings ie everything was still Danish. Phone is now working as previously but much faster. Got the picture editing thing - like the one on the t68. Can create MMS much quicker with better menus. All the unlocked software seems to work - except TaskManager? The second is an email account that is setup by default on the DK phones. If you try to setup a new email, the server fields are already filled in with "mail.myorange.dk" and the email address field setup as " Myorange". Thats what I thought... although like u said, the provxml files dont effect the locale when starting up the phone. :-( Dunno about GPRS settings coz i havnt managed to get the unlock to work since i did a hard-reset a couple of mins ago. :? Guest frijj2k Posted January 27, 2003 Report Share Posted January 27, 2003 Right.... confirmed. Use the ENGLISH PROVXML files. They dont change the default danish settings but rather are placed over the top. This means that when using the English files you get the option under connections for "Orange GPRS" as well as "Internet GPRS" (Which is the danish version) All you have to do now is select the Orange GPRS connection as default. If you use the Danish provxml files, you do not get this connection option (Or at least I didnt). Also all my Orange MMS sttings are correct. Hope this helps some people. Guest Deathrow Posted January 27, 2003 Report Share Posted January 27, 2003 I didn't make any backup of the IPSM, and now I can't get the uncert til work, because the smartphone 2002 screen disappears before my device connects to the computer. Could anybody send me their IPSM backup :?: That would really make my day.... doesn't matter if its english or danish. Should fit a 8mb sd card, and of course it should be uncert.
