Guest owziee Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) I know I've asked a similar question before but I didn't get an answer. Is there really no way to move this icon (app) further down in the menu so I can put resco photoviewer there instead. The built-in viewer is really awful! Damn I really love wm6 but I wish customizing it was just as easy as in Symbian S60 by just moving icons around and even change icons and the whole look of the UI as easy as with S60. An answer would be much appreciated ;) Edited August 28, 2007 by owziee
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 There are a couple of possibilities... The order of the Start Menu icons is set in the registry (do a search and you should find it, I think it's in the same place as on WM5). You could add the Resco app to the Start Menu order setting and remove the Pictures and Videos one. Other option is to unlock the phone so that you can move/delete the built-in Start Menu icons (sorry don't know how to do that on a Vox). Then move (to another folder) or delete the icon. You may still need to replace the Start Menu order entry as above

You were right the setting in the registry wasn't hard to find :D I just modified the order of Start Menu icons in registry, it was extremely easy and it works!!! The standard image viewer app automatically got put further down the menu so I didn't even have to remove anything, all apps are still in the menu ;) This is how it looks now: Now I'm gonna continue customizing the rest of the menu!!! Now I love my S710 even more
