Guest The Almighty Sam Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 A couple of the bits of software on my HTC Wizard don't have icons associated with them, and thus only show the boring default logo, which makes it rather difficult to identify the programs at a glance. I was wondering if there is an easy way to change an individual program's icon, similar to how the Games icon has a different icon. Thanks, guys!
Guest mandt Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 You can make your own icons easily enough, once you know how ;) Read the fifth post down in this thread http://www.modaco.com/plugin-destination-i...822#entry810822 this outlines how to make a dll file that will hold your icon. I wrote this post for cLaunch but the method is the same. After that copy the dll to your phone, then you just need to edit the start menu shortcut to point to it and use the icon from it. Grab yourself a copy of Resco Explorer (14 day trial) and browse to the shortcut you want to change, tap n hold, select 'properties' Click on the shortcut tab and edit it like so, this example is for an app installed to \Storage Card\Program Files and your new dll (icon) is in \Storage Card\icons. the bit in bold is what you need to add \Storage Card\Program Files\Appname.exe?\Storage Card\icons\Appname.dll,-0 (thats a zero) Have fun!
