HTC S620 or Samsung i600???

I will buy one of these phones but I can't give decition... which one is better... HTC S620 or Samsung i600???

"Better" is personal preference, but for me it was the I600

I got the I600 first, had problems with it (turned out to be network issues, but I was blaming the phone) so bought a Vox. Used the Vox for a week and then went back to the I600

The form factor, keyboard, performance and 3G were more important to me.

The Vox is OK, but I don't like:

1. the numeric keys being so close to the bottom (awkward to use)

2. the general sluggishness of it. Everything takes just a split second too long

3. the screen orientation lag when you open or close the keyboard

4. the chunkyness of it (it's not too big or heavy, but feels it compared to a Blackjack)

5. the keyboard keys were too flush, making it hard to "touch type"

Either are reasonable phones, and beware the poor battery life of the I600 (they give you a spare battery for a reason!), but for me the I600 wins by some margin

Sorry - Just realised I'm talking about the Vox (S710) and you were talking about the Excalibur (S620)

Fundamental difference is 3G, if this is important to you then you need to get the i600. if 3G doesn't matter than they are pretty similar phones, I'd say the S620 has a better *standard* battery time than the i600, but then the i600 comes with an additional higher capacity battery included - tho this does make it slightly thicker. Both have WM6 updates floating about (tho I've only just heard of the S620 one so not sure if it's actually out yet). I found the keyboard on the S620 *slightly* easier to use, but not by much. Try holding both in your hands. Lastly i600 has a better camera, but that's not saying much...

Never used a i600, but I love my s620!

(Well T-mobile Dash really, same thing).

I think it looks much nicer than the i600 and the keyboard is great.

The wifi works great (just remember to put it in "best peformance" mode), and the phone is quick and responsive.

Also now got the WM6 upgrade which is definitely worth it imo giving you all the latest programs like Office Mobile and Voice Command.

But...they do appear to be very similar phones.

Main difference is what spacerace said the i600 has 3G, but this is my list of those I can think of (note these are my opinions):

1. 3G: i600 > s620

2. Appearance: s620 > i600

3. Keyboard s620 > i600

and last but not least:

4. PRICE. On expansys: s620 (£224.95) > i600 (£289.95)

So it's £65 cheaper and a much nicer looking and handling version of practically the same phone!

But if you need 3G, then the i600 is the way to go. If not, s620.
