No Audible Alert When Call Dropped

I've got a WM5 Pocket PC Mobile Phone Edition device, and it's not giving me an audible alert when my call is dropped. I'm using Orange and frequently the reception is really bad. I can be talking to someone with the 'clamshell' closed and the call has been dropped because of loss of signal, but I don't get an audible notification. I think it used to beep three times in PPC2003. Because the phone is closed I have to open it to verify that the call is actually dropped. It might seem petty, but this is quite irritating.

I've checked in Settings / Personal / Sounds & Notifications and there isn't one for notification of a dropped call in the phone application.

Does anyone know a way of choosing a notification sound in the phone app for dropped calls ?

For what it's worth, I'm using an Orange SPV M5000 (HTC Universal), however, I posted to this generic forum as I don't think this issue is device-specific.

HKEY_CURENT_USER/Control Panel/ Sounds/Calldrop: set to sound file name.
